I've got a problem with my pole
No not that one!
its a 3 section telescopic walking pole
I can't get it to tighten,
the top section is fine but no matter how hard I twist the bottom section it does not lock up.
I have had it apart it does not seem to be damaged or worn.
is it time to buy a new one,
or can it be fixed?

Not Looking good Steve,

Father in Law had the same problem - keen moors walker - had to get new pole. It seems that the gripping mechanism on these things is quite a small tolerance and only a few thou of an inch will result in slippage. We tried applying some fine resin coats to the stick which worked for a short while. Maybe worth a go if its of the Graphite type construction.

Use styrene to thin down resin and apply a couple of coats evenly.
