Never had that problem and barbed wire tends to do that to most things :)

It does indeed, even worse when its waders  :(
You decided on yours boots yet ?

Fishtales

I probably wont bother. My Zamberlains have a lot of usage left in them yet :)
Don't worry, be happy.

They are on their second sole. Yeti's help there :)

Do you think the yetis would stay on lighter more bendy boots ?
I know I had to use glue to keep them on my stiff boots.

Because the Skywalk sole was made for the cross band I never had problems. Now that I am using them on ordinary soles the cross strap has gone which allows the toe to slip up onto the top of the boot. I now Bostik the rand onto the front of the sole at the toe and haven't had the problem since. That should work the same on lighter boots although I wouldn't go for bendy boots as I find the soles are too thin and light for stone/rock hopping.

i got the Salomon GTX, had leakage problems, been tested in Tiso and found to be fine, not convinced, back to 3 seasons leather boots for me, i quite like the robust protection they offer anyway.

A few people seem to have a problem with excessive sweating in boots with the Goretex lining. I did when I first got my Zamberlains but then I stopped wearing two pairs of socks and only wear one pair of Bridgedale Trekkers or Trails now and they are fine although still feel damp after trekking in warm weather. Also because the Yetis enclose the boot it never gets that wet anyway although there is always seepage up between the gaiter and the boot if the ground is sodden or I have to wade along the edge of the loch for any length of time. The Yetis protect the bottom of my legs and the boot but they aren't wellies and only minimise the amount of water that gets in. Stand in ankle deep water for too long and it comes up inside and over the lip of the boot. Not in great quantities and I have only had wet ankles but not feet. I only take the Yetis off the boots to re-wax them, which is usually once a year, the rest of the time they are permanently attached lying in the boot of the car 365 days a year :)
