Not long left now

I was out on the tube again on saturday. Wanted to try and get another day or 2 in before the seasons over. Caught this beauty in the first 5 minutes



then i had a dilemma with my reel...my spool feel off and sunk to the bottom of the loch  :lol: had to pull all the line and backing up and eventually half of my reel. Backing was in a crows nest, so i paddled back in and swapped reels. Seems to be a problem with the quick release button, as if somethings away inside....will need to send it off to hardy for repair.

Went back out and had plenty of fish, 4 around 1 1/2lb, a few smaller fish and lost another big fish.
 
I will try and get out again, before it’s all over.

That looks like a cracker of a fish. Very deep from the pic. What weight you think. ?
