Lines

Any advice on what lines are best value/best performance.

Have spent a(nother) depressing afternoon examining my tackle (insert tackle related joke of your choice here   :lol:  )   .....

...and discovered that all my lines are cracked, and suffering hideous memory effects (insert memory related pun here).

admittedly some of them are ancient and have seen prolonged service.

I'm going to be in the market for a 5wt WF floater (does anyone here  use DT lines?) , a 7wt WF floater and a 7wt sinker /intermediate..

actually thats another question...do i really need a fast sinker for loch fishing? or would an intermediate be more/any use?...not that i've ever caught a fish in this country on anything but a floating line .

thanks- as you say the price looks excellent...do you fish with barrio lines?

how often do you renew a line on average?

Mike's lines are the best possible buy, as good as lines at least twice the price. You cannot go wrong.

high praise...and though the 5's are sold out,   thats that decision made which is good.

obviously whatever i save on the lines will be frittered away on something else
